A set of four dress studs with matching cufflinks made in nine carat white and yellow gold. This beautiful, and unusual dress set is the perfect way to accessorise an evening suit. A departure from a classic pearl or onyx look, the strong geomtric Art Deco design, with the contrasting metal colours look amazing against a crisp white shirt adding vintage luxury to the formal look.
Each dress stud and cufflink is centered with a finely engine turned square framed by a thin stepped white gold border, which adds a little dimension to the look, without being over bearing. This is the perfect set if you like to mix your dress watch up as it allows you to wear either a white metal or yellow gold watch and not mixing your metals! Key for the perfect dress attire.
The studs and cufflinks are in excellent condition and come in their original fitted box. Under the two cufflinks are the rings to keep the studs in the dress shirt. However, it is recommended that a tailor, for the inside button hole of the dress shirt, be stitched slightly narrower to alleviate any concerns of losing a stud once you hit the dance floor! Each stud is stamped with '9ct" and the makers mark of "A& W". They were a small, London based, jeweller and silversmith who have not been identified. Made in London circa 1920's.
